On behalf of the EU Turkey Civic Commission, Board of Directors, please accept my warmest congratulations on your election as president of The Kurdish National Congress of North America. You are truly deserving of the honor, and I am sure the KNC will greatly benefit from your wisdom and outlook.
KNC is an important organisation for Kurds and has a crucial task in counteracting the division of Kurds living in different parts of Kurdistan and in promoting national unity across borders. Your expressed vision to build bridges between the different Kurdish communities whether they are in North America or in other Diaspora countries comes at a time when national unity, interdependence and solidarity among Kurds is more important then ever.
Much has been accomplished in recent years, but as you well know much still remains to be done. With you particular skills, I am sure we can traverse this road more readily in the coming months and years.
Again, we wish you and The Kurdish National Congress of North America all possible luck for the future and look forward to a closer cooperation between our two organisations.
