I hope this letter finds you well. Thank you for the letter of invitation to the 18th annual conference of the Kurdish National Congress of North America. I regret that I am unable to attend due to other commitments; however, Nijyar Shemdin will attend on behalf of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
Although unable to attend myself, I would like you to know that the work of the KNC and its commitment to the well-being of Kurdistan and its people is appreciated
Events since the liberation of Iraq have, as you said in your letter, created a new political environment for Kurdistan, Iraq and the Middle East as a whole. Kurdistan Regional Government is striving to protect and promote the rights of the people of Kurdistan, to break the terror that has stunted Iraq’s progress and to ensure that democracy and freedom prevail.
We welcome the support of all Kurdish organizations, including the KNC, for our efforts in achieving these goals.
