Dear Congressman Cooper:
You are no doubt aware of the establishment of the Kurdish-America Caucus (KAC) in the U. S. House of Representatives in late May. The KAC enjoys bipartisan support. It was created by efforts of two prominent congressmen, Lincoln Davis (D-TN-04) and Joe Wilson (R-SC-02). The purpose of the KAC caucus is to promote a better understanding of the Kurdish people in general and the U. S. Kurds in particular, and to enhance the U. S. interests in the Kurdistan region.
The Caucus
